You deserve it!

Join the walking program that people across the country have used to improve their health and fitness and experience the joys of walking the world!

This program is designed for those age "50 and better".  Walk 500 aims to inspire you to an active, energetic lifestyle as you age.

Here's what Walk 500 director, Ward Luthi, says about the program.  "You deserve to enjoy your wisdom years in a body that can take you where you want to go with strength, vitality and a sense of well-being.  We encourage you to step up to health by committing to a regular walking program, increasing your health by consistent effort and improving your fitness with regular training.  We entice you to challenge yourself so that you can enjoy exploring your world in an active, participatory way. We invite you to use Walk 500 as a gateway to a healthier lifestyle and to serve as a role model for you children, friends and family."

Walk 500 is an official Walking Partner of the International Council on Active Aging, the world's largest association dedicated to changing the way we age.

Body and Soul Fitness is the official Quad Cities sponsor for the Walk 500 program.  While Walk 500 provides structure to your walking program, Body and Soul Fitness aims to provide fun and excitement as well.  Throughout the year, we will award prizes to our participants.  Each month you will be eligible to win great prizes such as pedometers, walking shoes, walking takes and exciting trips.  Each participate will receive a monthly newsletter, Walk 500 log book and have the opportunity to join in on a monthly group walk.  To begin the challenge, call Kathy at 563-370-2359.
